Benfica, after a draw in their Club World Cup opener, put in a blistering performance on day two, leaving Auckland City with no chance – a 6-0 thumping. One of the big stars was Angel Di Maria, who scored a brace to move into the top three scorers of the tournament and add three goals to his tally.
Currently, the team remains firmly in second place in the group and retains excellent chances of advancing to the playoffs. However, the toughest part is yet to come: the clash against Bayern.

In the second, they overcame Boca Juniors 2-1, with goals from Harry Kane and Michael Olise. In fact, Olise is currently the tournament’s top scorer with three goals and two assists.
