Aston Villa continue their fight for a place in the next edition of the Champions League and are currently sixth in the table with 63 points, the same as Chelsea, although the Villans have a worse goal difference. The team’s main objective is to secure a place in the top five. The top of the table is so tight that there is only a six-point gap between second and seventh place, so every matchday can radically alter the picture.
Tottenham are having a disappointing season. With two games to go, they are 17th in the Premier League with 38 points. Relegation, of course, is not a real threat, but the situation is a far cry from what was expected at the start of the season.
Despite their position in the table, Tottenham are pleasantly surprising in attack: they have scored 63 goals in 36 games, the fifth best figure in the league. They have conceded quite a few, though: 59 goals conceded. Last time out, Spurs again disappointed their fans by losing 2-0 at home to Crystal Palace.
