Al Shabab vs Damac Prediction & Tips
Al-Shabab have not been in title contention for some time, but they remain firmly in the top half of the table, confirming their status as a solid mid-table team in the Saudi Premier League. They are a team that everyone, without exception, has to reckon with: leaders and bottom teams alike. Currently, Fatih Terim’s side are in sixth place, eight points off the top five.
It is noteworthy that Al-Shabab rarely drop points in matches against teams in the bottom half of the table. In their recent home matches, the team has managed three consecutive victories: over Al-Riyadh (2-1), Al-Fayha (2-1) and Al-Khaleej (5-1). However, in a crucial match against Al-Qadisiyah, they conceded in a tense battle (2-3). In the last matchday, Al-Shabab beat Al-Raed 2-1 away.
Damac continue to remain a solid mid-table team in the Saudi Premier League and currently sit 12th in the table. It appears that relegation is not a threat to the team, as the gap to the danger zone is a comfortable seven points. However, they are only four points off the top 10, so with a bit of luck, the home side could climb up the table.
In the previous matchday, the Abha side suffered a home defeat against Al-Orouba (1-2), and before that, against one of the championship’s big guns, Al-Ahli (0-2). These were Damac’s first defeats in the last six matches. Before that, Santo Almeida’s charges showed strong character and recorded a run of three consecutive draws, drawing with Al-Khaleej (1-1), Al-Hilal (2-2) and Al-Akhdoud (0-0).
