Al-Ittihad come into this match as early champions. The team has had a sensational season: confident play, a balanced squad, an iron defence and world-class stars in attack.
Although the match has no bearing on the table, the club will surely want to close the season in style. Even if coach Laurent Blanc decides to rest some first-choice players, the quality and depth of the ‘tigers’ gives them confidence of victory.
For Damac, on the other hand, the season has been uneven: the team has flirted with the relegation zone, although they eventually managed to stay in the top flight. However, their last few weeks have left a lot to be desired.
