Ajax vs Zwolle Prediction & Tips
After a two-week international break, football returns to the Eredivisie this weekend. The first match to be played this weekend is Ajax against PEC Zwolle. Looking at the league table, this is number 5 against number 7, with the caveat that PEC Zwolle (6 points from 3 matches) has played one match less than Ajax (8 points from 4 matches).
Although it is still early in the season, this match looks set to be an important one. In this second block, as Erik ten Hag called it, the Amsterdam club can still catch up with the leaders despite its difficult start and loss of points. If Ajax drops points in this match, the gap with the leaders will widen even further.
For PEC Zwolle, which usually picks up few points against Ajax, there is nothing to lose in this match and a win this weekend would even see them overtake Ajax in the standings.
