Villarreal vs Real Madrid Prediction & Tips
A 2-1 home defeat in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) on Tuesday means Villarreal have lost five of their last seven matches in all competitions (W2), including three of their last four at the Estadio de la Cerámica (W1). The Yellow Submarine lost 2-0 away to Real Betis in their last LaLiga outing and go into this matchday in third place, level on points with fourth-placed Atlético Madrid, and another defeat this weekend would see them suffer two consecutive defeats in the competition for the first time since March 2025. Real Madrid also played in the UCL midweek, thrashing Monaco 6-1 to record their seventh win in their last nine official matches (D2). In LaLiga, Los Blancos have lost only once away from home all season (W6, D3) and are now just one point behind leaders Barcelona, who stumbled last weekend, while Álvaro Arbeloa’s side recorded their fourth consecutive league victory. If they pick up another three points this weekend, Madrid will have five consecutive wins in the top flight for the second time this season and Arbeloa will have secured his third consecutive competitive victory, something much needed after starting his tenure with a surprise defeat in the Copa del Rey.
