PSV vs Groningen Prediction & Tips
On Saturday evening, PSV and FC Groningen will face each other in the third round of the Eredivisie.
PSV has continued the winning streak it started at the end of last season, which earned them the national title, into this new season. The national champions first won the Johan Cruijff Shield at the expense of Go Ahead Eagles and then also won the first two rounds of the competition. As a result, PSV is currently in second place with 6 points behind the surprising leader, NEC.
FC Groningen had a less successful start to the Eredivisie season, losing their opening match against AZ. Fortunately for the team, they won the “Northern derby” against Heerenveen last weekend. This victory puts FC Groningen in ninth place in the league table.
Of course, anything can happen in these first weeks of the season. But PSV seems to be the clear favourite in this match.
