Celtic vs St. Mirren Prediction & Tips
Since July, the Scottish champions have played seven friendlies, winning five and losing two. Their overall record stands at 14:10. Brendan Rodgers’ team plays attacking football, with verticality and quick transitions through short and medium passes. However, there are still serious problems in defence: the green and whites concede too much, show insecurity in aerial balls and that translates into many goals conceded.
St Mirren, unlike Celtic, has already started the 2025/26 season. The team started in the group stage of the League Cup: in four games, they won three and advanced as group winners to the round of 16, where they will face Hearts.
In the group stage, they scored 12 goals (8 of them in a single match) and conceded 4. Stephen Robinson’s men, after their stumble in the championship group last season, will be looking to show their best form and get the league off to a good start.
