Antalyaspor vs Trabzonspor Prediction & Tips
Antalyaspor have spent the last few years as a mid-table team in the Turkish Super League, but this season their situation has been somewhat compromised. Already towards the middle of the campaign it became clear that the club was going to find itself in a relegation battle, which led to drastic decisions.
In January, after losing 5-0 to Trabzonspor, the team was taken over by Turkish football legend Emre Belözoğlu. Under his leadership, Antalyaspor won six out of 19 matches in all competitions, a record that cannot be considered brilliant.
Trabzonspor also changed coach during the current campaign. At the beginning of March, after the defeat against Hatayspor, Şenol Güneş was sacked and Fatih Tekke, who had been quite successful with Alanyaspor, took his place.
Under the 47-year-old Turkish coach, the team only lost to Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray (twice). The Trabzon-based club reached the final of the national cup, where they were defeated and missed out on the trophy.
