Kenya vs Gabon Prediction & Tips
The Kenyan national team recently showed incredible determination to draw 3-3 with Gambia. Despite trailing 0-2 at the half, the Kenyans found the strength to equalise. But soon Gambia went ahead again and it looked like they would take the win, until in the 90+6th minute, substitute William Wilson scored the decisive goal, the last goal of the game.
This draw, although dramatic, did not affect Kenya’s position in the group. After five games, the team has 6 points and is in fourth place in the table, 7 points behind first place.
Gabon, after a convincing 3-0 win over Seychelles, temporarily led the group, but after Ivory Coast won their match, the ‘elephants’ regained the top spot. Gabon are second with 12 points, just one point behind the Ivorians. These two teams are clear favourites in the group and it looks like they will fight intensely until the end for the first place, which guarantees a direct pass to the World Cup.
It was in the match against Côte d’Ivoire that Gabon lost points for the first time. In that away match, the Gabonese lost by the narrowest of margins, 0-1. In all other matches, the team has been flawless, taking maximum points and confirming its aspirations to qualify for the World Cup.
