West Brom – Wolves (Pick, Prediction, Preview) Preview

West Brom vs Wolves Prediction & Tips

West Bromwich Albion looked doomed for relegation but have lost just one of their last four Premier League (PL) matches (G2, E1) and have given them little hope of avoiding relegation. A solid defense has been key to this performance boost and that is noticeable when playing at home, as they have only conceded two goals in their last five league games at home (W2, E2, P1).
Another boost for Sam Allardyce’s team is that they have won as many home games in their last four (two) as in the previous 19 home games in the top flight. Plus, he could secure a third consecutive unbeaten goal at home here for the first time since March 2015!
The host’s confidence is bolstered by a previous streak of three consecutive wins in previous meetings against Wolverhampton – that’s his best streak since 1932. In particular, he scored exactly one goal in the first half in each of those games. .
The Wolves have won just two of their last eight PL games and they are only playing for their sporting pride. However, scoring first could be crucial, given that they are the only team that has not yet fallen after opening the scoring this PL campaign (G8, E1), although only two teams have opened the scoring fewer times.
Although Nuno Espírito Santo’s team has only lost in one of their last five home appearances in the PL (G2, E2), they have not won in nine consecutive visits to The Hawthorns in the PL (E4, P5). In six of those games he failed to score.
Players to watch: West Brom’s Matheus Pereira scored a double in the previous game between these two teams and scored four goals in his last four PL games – always before half-time. Willy Boly of the Wolves already shone in the previous game between these two teams with a goal and an assist – although those have been his only offensive contributions of the entire season.
Highlight: Coach Sam Allardyce (WBA) has met the Wolves without losing more times than against any other PL team (G4, E2).
