Torino – Parma (Pick, Prediction, Preview) Preview

Torino vs Parma Prediction & Tips

Burnley, led by Sean Dyche, ended their three-game losing streak with a win on the final match day where they led at the end of both halves – thus easing doubts about a possible relegation in the Premier League (PL). There are already five Burnley games that end with more than 2.5 goals in total – the home team scored first but lost in two of those commitments.
Going through their longest winless streak at home in the top flight since 1971 (E5, P2), Burnley are looking to end that losing streak in this game – although admittedly the Clarets have already come back in three of the five ties during that sequence. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Turf Moor is also the least entertaining venue in the league when considering the average total goals per game prior to matchday (1.94).
Away side’s European dream West Ham took a hard hit last matchday and are bound to win this game – their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League are beginning to fade (W2, E1, P2). To win, West Ham may need to score twice as both teams have scored 19 times – the highest in the entire league. Only Manchester City have scored in more PL games this season than the ‘Hammers’ (27) before this day.
West Ham have won just one of their last five away games in PL (W1, E1, P3) and will be looking to return to form that resulted in four straight away wins. However, this might prove unlikely – coach David Moyes has lost all three of his road games at Burnley. On two occasions he lost by at least two goals difference and, furthermore, his team failed to score twice.
Players to watch: Burnley’s Chris Wood became the first New Zealander to score a hat-trick in PL the previous day – he also has six goals in seven games against West Ham. Since his debut for West Ham, no player’s goals were more crucial to his team scoring more points than Jesse Lingard’s nine goals (ten points).
Highlight: Burnley coach Sean Dyche is undefeated in six of seven previous meetings against teams led by David Moyes (W4, E2, P1) – both teams scored in just one of those games.
