Israel – Slovenia (Pick, Prediction, Preview) Preview

Israel vs Slovenia Prediction & Tips

Israel will continue its quest to secure qualification to a European Championship for the first time in its history and in the debut of the tie will receive Slovenia at the Sammy Ofer Stadium.
The blue and white team will hope to start this campaign in a similar way to the last one (qualifiers for Euro 2016) where they won their first three games. However, since then it registered a series of deficient results (G1, E1, P5) that finally made them finish in fourth place in the classification.
More recently, Israel has progressed steadily when playing at home as it has won its last three home games, including a 7-0 win over Guatemala in its most recent encounter. On this occasion he will seek his first triumph over Slovenia in what will be the fourth match between both casts (E2, P1).

Slovenia has not qualified for the European Championship since 2000, although it was close in 2016 where it lost in the playoffs by a 3-1 aggregate score against Ukraine.
The away team is still looking to recover from a winless campaign in the UEFA Nations League (E3, P3), which resulted in the relegation to the D League. Although notably, Slovenia caused some problems in the attack and as a result, both teams scored in five of his six meetings. However, they are still looking for a first official victory since November 2016, when they defeated weak Malta with only one goal difference.

Players to watch: Israel midfielder Eran Zahavi has scored eight goals in his last eight games counting his club and national team. Meanwhile, Miha Zajc scored two goals during the Slovenia campaign at the UNL.

Statistics to consider: Israel have won two of their last five official matches (G2, P3) in home condition. In his three losses he could not score a goal.
Four of Israel’s last five games have produced more than 2.5 goals.
In three of the last five official matches in Slovenia a pattern was repeated: the team did not receive goals in the first half but did in the second.
