Victoria Park Hartlepool will meet, starting at 21:30 host band, Hartlepool and Sheffield United in a match counting for the first round of the Carling Cup. Last year the two teams met in the first round all of this competition. Hartlepool was won 2-0 by goals scored by James Brown and Adam Boyd.
Both teams are part of the League One debut in the new season last weekend. The hosts of this match played at Milton Keynes Dons and won a point, although they led 1-0 and 2-1. Sheffield United started on the right season, winning all points of the move from Oldham. Harry Maguire and rookie Richard Cresswell scored in the first ten minutes in the second half winning goals.
United’s manager Danny Wilson, who has prepared in the past and Hartlepool, expects a difficult game. Pool says that he has a good game in front of their supporters and not many teams will leave victorious this season on Victoria Park.
