Only 11th in the Premier League, Mauricio Pochettino’s team will certainly have to go all the way in the FA Cup if they are to put a smile back on their fans’ faces as the season draws to a close. They also impressed in the Round of 16 of England’s famous domestic cup, overcoming Aston Villa (1-3). Leeds United now stand in their way. Chelsea host the Championship outfit this Wednesday at 8.30pm. Their next opponents are in fine form in England’s second tier. They have just won their last 9 matches and are now in 2nd place in the table. However, the Peacocks came very close to being knocked out of the FA Cup in the previous round. They had to wait until extra time for a replay at Plymouth to escape (1-4). The situation will certainly be much more complicated against Chelsea. The Blues will be doing everything in their power to kick-start a positive spiral in what has been a complicated end to the season.
